Tree Felling & Removal
Safe, professional tree removal in Snohomish County & northern King County
Removing a tree involves more than just cutting it down - the process is about protecting your home and surrounding environment. Some trees are diseased, dead, or storm-damaged, while others may have branches or roots that interfere with your house or usable space outdoors. Our experienced crew is trained and equipped to remove your tree carefully and cleanly.
Why remove a tree?
We assess every tree individually, and can help you decide whether removal or strategic trimming is the best option. You may want a professional opinion if a tree:
Has large cracks or hollow areas in the trunk
Has dead or dying spots in the canopy
Is leaning towards a house, garage, or power lines
Is growing into your roof, foundation, or driveway
Was damaged in a storm
Our tree removal process
Safety is our focus. We start by inspecting the tree, surrounding structures, and access points.
Custom removal plans: every situation is unique and is treated as such. We can provide options to balance the budget while minimizing impact to your property.
Complete cleanup: our standard process is to fully remove and dispose of all debris. However some customers prefer to use their own compost bins, or want firewood rounds left behind instead. Whatever your preference, we pride ourselves in respecting your property, cleaning up after the work, and leaving zero surprises. The plan will be discussed during the free consult so you'll be able to tell us your wishes and know exactly what to expect.
Optional stump grinding after tree removal: we can use a grinder to remove the obstacle in your yard, including tracing large roots. If that's not your preference, we can leave the stump to naturally decay, can cut hatch marks to help the process along, or some customers like a tree stump to be turned into a natural planter. If the removed tree is in a greenspace, you may choose to leave a larger snag for the ecosystem.

Frequently asked questions
Will taking down a tree ruin my yard?
For the large majority of situations, there are ways to protect your lawn and landscaping when removing a tree. Rarely, a tree's large size or its location might require heavy equipment to be on the grass. It's always best to check with a few different tree companies to make sure your tree is removed with minimal impact while balancing costs.
I'm worried that a tree removal permit will be expensive. Do I need one?
Some permits are actually free, and sometimes they aren't needed at all! First, you can check your jurisdiction or call us to ask. Different cities and counties have different requirements for what types of tree need permitting, and some will just have you submit a form without paying a fee because they simply want to track environmental impacts.
What happens to the stump after the tree is gone?
Depending on where the tree was or what you plan to do with the area, you may want to add a stump grinding service after the tree removal. This is best if you want to replant the area or remove a tripping hazard from the yard. If the stump is not in your way, you may prefer to leave it to decay naturally, or we can help speed that process along by cutting hatch marks in the top and recommending a product to assist the decomposition.
